“Pay it forward” (PIF)

Each year during the holiday season, the Alpha Impact Charitable Foundation - the charitable arm of the Sigma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., hosts its annual Pay it Forward Day. “Pay it forward” (PIF) is a phrase that means rewarding someone’s kindness towards you by being kind in turn to someone else. It is an expression used when the recipient of an act of kindness does something kind for someone else rather than simply accepting or repaying the original good deed. Our past partnerships have included Bear Creek HEB, located at 4955 Hwy 6 N, Houston, TX 77084, and Walmart Supercenter, located at 15955 FM 529, Houston, TX 77095. We invite the community to join us as we spread joy throughout our Katy-Cypress Community.
